I tried MUD\WTR for a month and here is what happened (not what you expect)

Why break up with coffee?

I always loved coffee but as we all know, there are many reasons to quit coffee. There are some serious negative side effects, especially for those who are more sensitive to caffeine. Not to mention many studies have linked coffee to anxiety and panic attacks. I can’t tell you how many times I have felt horrible physically and mentally after drinking coffee, hence I wanted to make a change.

They call themselves a coffee alternative. When I learned about MUD\WTR, I was skeptical since it promised to give you energy and focus without the jitters. A bit of research revealed that MUD\WTR is made of mostly adaptogenic mushrooms such as Reishi, Lion’s Mane, Chaga, Cordyceps, and more. How does it taste?

I love the smell and the flavor, not to mention it’s easy to make. Just like coffee, you can make it in many different ways. They offer an extensive list of recipes but I do find drinking it by itself to be very flavorful. The best way to describe the taste is probably a mix between a chai latte and cacao.

How do I feel?

Coffee always gives me a big boost of energy, it was almost like a high. With MUD\WTR, it was a smooth and gradual tap of energy. Mostly importantly, I felt calm after a few sips. It was the right amount of caffeine (a fraction of what’s in coffee) and I completely stopped getting jitters like I did with coffee. The stomach issues that I had with coffee also disappeared with MUD\WTR. Overall, the energy without the crash was the biggest reason I love MUD\WTR.

I also felt that I was able to focus better after switching away from coffee. While coffee often made me feel “wired” due to the high amount of caffeine, MUD\WTR gave me the focus that I needed and I can tell the difference especially when I am doing work that requires a lot of thinking or focus.

I consider MUD\WTR to be an excellent coffee alternative and plan on sticking to it for a long time to come. It has become part of my daily routine and I feel better physically and mentally. I knew caffeine had a negative impact on my health but I was only able to tell after switching away from coffee.
