Walk down any pet store aisle and the options are endless—each bag promising to be the healthiest choice for your dog. So how do you actually know what’s good? We went straight to the source and sat down with a veterinarian with over two decades of experience—to cut through the noise. His take was more straightforward than we expected.

It Starts With What’s Actually In The Bowl “Before anything else, look at the ingredients,” our vet says. “I want to see real, whole foods—things you’d recognize at a grocery store. If you can’t identify what’s in your dog’s food, that’s usually a red flag.”

Processed Food Has a Real Cost Kibble is everywhere for a reason—it’s cheap and convenient. But he’s candid about the tradeoffs. “Heavy processing degrades the nutritional value of food significantly. We wouldn’t expect a diet of ultra-processed food to keep a human healthy long-term, and dogs are no different. Whole, minimally processed food is always going to win.”

Ready to try Maev? Get 15% off your first order!

Not All Fresh Food is Created Equal Dogs are built for meat. “Animal protein should be the foundation of every dog’s diet,” he explains. “And it’s not just about having protein on the label—the source and quality matters enormously. A lot of fresh food brands have moved in the right direction, but there’s a big difference between lightly cooked, portioned meals and food made from truly whole, recognizable ingredients. I want to see real muscle meat, organ, and whole foods—not protein concentrates or meals that have been heavily processed before they even hit the recipe.

The Brand That Checks Every Box When we asked what brand he feels good recommending, Maev came up immediately. “What I appreciate about Maev is that the ingredients speak for themselves—real meat, whole ingredient food. Nothing hidden, nothing I have to look up. You can see exactly what your dog is eating and why it’s there.” He also points to the formulation: complete, balanced nutrition built around real ingredients that get flash frozen so the nutrients stay intact.

What Pet Parents Are Actually Noticing The proof, as they say, is in the bowl. Based on a survey of 845 Maev members, 91% of dogs see health benefits in 28 days. “Better energy, healthier coats, less scratching, easier digestion. These aren’t subtle changes—pet parents notice them quickly.” Sounds like a pretty easy decision to us.

Millie had been skipping meals for years.

She’d sniff her food, lick the gravy, and walk off. I cycled through every “premium” brand the pet store carried pâtés, chunks, shreds, vet formulas. Most ended up in the trash.

I figured it was a quirk.
“Cats are just fussy,” I told myself.

But behind that harmless excuse was something far worse:

Her food wasn’t just unappetizing. It was starving her.

The Truth About “Picky” Cats

After Millie lost a full pound in two months, I panicked and booked a vet appointment. Bloodwork was normal. “She’s just getting older,” the vet said but then added something that stuck:

“A lot of ‘picky’ cats aren’t picky. They’re avoiding food that’s biologically wrong for them.”

That hit me like a freight train.

Because I thought I’d been doing everything right: grain-free food, “real meat” on the label, even those $2 designer cans.

But when I flipped over the label, I finally saw it:

“Meat by-products”

Fillers like peas and potato

Carbs listed before protein

78% moisture… but still dry as cardboard

4% of the protein it claimed to contain

It was all fluff. Not food.

Picky Eating = Chronic Undernourishment

Here’s what no one tells you:
Cats who barely eat aren’t fussy. They’re fading.

Because when a cat consistently eats too little or eats low-quality food with almost no digestible protein it adds up:

Muscle loss

Lethargy

Early kidney strain

Poor digestion

Organ decline

And over time, it shaves years off their life.

Millie was only 11. I thought she had 4–5 years left.

Then I found out some cats, when properly fed, are now living to 20… even 30.

Suddenly I realized:
Her “pickiness” might be the only reason she wouldn’t make it.

I Tried 12 Foods. Smalls Was the Only One She Finished.

I went full detective mode.
From high-end cans to raw patties to subscription brands, I ordered everything.

One after another rejected.
Then I tried Smalls.

I’d seen cat people raving about it online:
“The only food my cat eats now”
“It’s not even close she licks the bowl clean”
“Her bloodwork improved in months”

Smalls isn’t kibble. It’s not canned mush.
It’s fresh, gently cooked real food made just for cats.

What’s in Smalls (and Why It Works)

Real USDA meat (chicken, beef, turkey, fish actual cuts, not scraps)

Gently cooked to preserve nutrients and flavor

Frozen fresh, no preservatives

High-protein, low-carb, moisture-rich just like prey

Zero grains, zero fillers, zero by-products

Formulated by vet nutritionists

Each pack looks and smells like something you would eat. And cats instantly recognize it.

Mine did. Within 30 seconds of serving, Millie devoured her first full meal in weeks.
She’s now eating two per day excited for breakfast, waiting at the fridge.

The Difference Was Immediate

Her coat? Softer in a week
Her energy? She started sprinting again
Her digestion? Firmer stools, no stink
Her weight? Back to normal no more sharp bones
Her mood? Playful. Affectionate. Alert.

But the biggest change?

Relief.
The guilt I’d been carrying the stress of wasted food, the worry of watching her shrink finally lifted.

For the first time in years, I felt like I wasn’t failing her.

The Longevity Link That Haunts Me

I asked a feline nutritionist during this research, “Is it true cats can live to 30?”

He said yes with the right diet and care.

“Most cats die in their teens not because of bad luck, but because they’ve eaten processed, dehydrated food for a decade straight. Their kidneys can’t take it.”

Smalls isn’t magic. It’s not some miracle powder.

It’s just real food, finally made with cats in mind.

My Honest Take: I Wish I’d Started Sooner

It’s not cheap. But it’s not luxury, either.

After the trial, I’m spending about $2.50 a day less than a coffee and Millie’s finally thriving.
No more wasted cans. No more vet bills for mystery tummy issues.

Smalls gives picky eaters what they’re really asking for:
Nutritionally complete, biologically appropriate food their body doesn’t reject.

That’s why even cats who’ve refused 10+ brands are scarfing this stuff down.

The Quiz That Changed Everything

Smalls doesn’t sell random bags. You take a 60-second quiz about your cat, and they ship you a custom starter box based on age, weight, and preferences.

You get:

10 packs of fresh food

Free freeze-dried treats (included in every box for life)

A transition guide

Full access to their Cat Concierge

And if your cat won’t eat it?

They refund you. 100%.

I didn’t need that refund.
But it gave me the confidence to click “order.”

Want to See If Your Cat Will Eat Real Food Again?

If your cat’s been picky, lethargic, or skipping meals don’t wait. It’s not a phase. It’s a warning.

Smalls may be the thing that brings them back to life.

Though these signs can help you identify potential health issues, it’s always a good idea to check with your vet before introducing new products into your dog’s routine.

If your dog is sleeping more, avoiding playtime, or seems sluggish, they could be lacking key nutrients or experiencing joint discomfort.

What to Do: A well-balanced diet with essential vitamins and minerals can help restore their energy levels.

Keeping your dog’s teeth clean isn’t just about fresh breath—it’s essential for their overall health. But let’s be honest, brushing a dog’s teeth every day isn’t exactly easy. That’s why we’ve rounded up five game-changing dental hacks to help keep your pup’s teeth in top shape. Counting down from #5 to #1, we’ve saved the best for last!

While these dental care tips can greatly support your dog’s oral health, it’s always a good idea to check with your vet before introducing new products or treatments into your dog’s routine.

5. Dental Chews – The Tasty Way to Tackle Plaque

Dental chews are a go-to for many pet parents because they make oral care delicious. These treats are specially designed to reduce plaque and tartar buildup while giving your dog something fun to gnaw on. Look for options with vet-approved ingredients like enzymes or minerals that actively fight bacteria. While they’re helpful, chews alone may not be enough to fully protect your dog’s teeth.

Pros: Tasty, engaging, and helps scrape away buildup.
Cons: Not all chews are created equal—some contain too many calories or artificial additives.

4. Water Additives – A Simple Trick for Fresh Breath

Think of water additives as mouthwash for dogs—but way easier! These liquid formulas mix into your dog’s drinking water to help combat bacteria, freshen breath, and reduce plaque. It’s one of the lowest-effort ways to support oral health, especially for dogs who resist brushing.

Pros: Effortless to use and great for bad breath.
Cons: Won’t remove existing tartar; some dogs might dislike the taste.

3. Coconut Oil – Nature’s Antibacterial Secret

Coconut oil isn’t just for cooking—it has natural antibacterial properties that can help fight oral bacteria in dogs. You can rub a small amount on their gums or add it to their food. Some pet parents even use it as a toothpaste alternative!

Pros: Natural, antibacterial, and dogs love the taste.
Cons: Won’t replace professional dental care; overuse can add extra calories to your dog’s diet.

2. Finger Toothbrush – A Brushing Shortcut

If your dog absolutely refuses a traditional toothbrush, a finger toothbrush might be the answer. These soft, silicone brushes slip over your fingertip, making it easier to gently scrub plaque off your pup’s teeth. While not a complete substitute for professional cleanings, it’s a great compromise for stubborn pups.

Pros: More control than a regular toothbrush, easier to use.
Cons: Some dogs still won’t tolerate it, requires daily consistency.

1. Pet Honesty’s Fresh Breath Dental Powder – The Easiest and Most Effective Solution

Pros: Effortless, natural, and clinically backed.
Cons: You still need to be consistent—but it’s the easiest dental care habit to maintain!

If you’re anything like me, your pet is not just an animal; they’re a cherished member of the family. As a devoted pet parent, I’m always on the lookout for products that can enhance my furry friend’s well-being. That’s why I decided to try out the Scooch Pet All-In-One Supplement, and let me tell you, it’s been a game-changer!

Packaging Perfection

First things first, the packaging is adorable. I’m a sucker for anything that makes my pet’s goodies look as cute as they are, and Scooch definitely nailed it in that department. The bright colors and playful design not only caught my eye but also sparked my curiosity about what’s inside.

The All-In-One Promise

Now, let’s talk about the actual supplement. Scooch promises an all-in-one solution, and it certainly delivers. The blend includes vitamins, minerals, and essential nutrients that support everything from joint health to a shiny coat. The fact that it’s an all-encompassing solution takes the guesswork out of figuring out which individual supplements my pet needs, making it super convenient for busy pet parents like myself.

One of the standout features is the easy administration. Gone are the days of wrestling with my pet to get them to swallow a pill. Scooch comes in a tasty chewable form that my furry friend eagerly gobbles up without any fuss. It’s like a treat for them, making the daily supplement routine a breeze.

The “Negative” Twist

Now, onto the “negative” point, though I must admit, it’s a bit of a stretch to find one. The only tiny hiccup is that my pet seems to get a bit too excited about the chews. It’s almost like they’re too delicious, leading to a little bit of begging for more. While this could be seen as a downside, I’ve decided to view it as a positive – after all, what pet parent doesn’t love seeing their fur baby excited about something good for them?

A Staple in the Routine

In conclusion, Scooch Pet All-In-One Supplement has become a staple in my pet care routine. The adorable packaging, comprehensive formula, and easy administration make it a winner in my book. Even the “negative” point adds a touch of humor and charm to the overall experience. If you’re looking for a convenient and effective way to boost your pet’s health, for as low as $23 Scooch is the way to go. Your furry friend will thank you with tail wags and purrs!

The post Scooch Pet All-In-One Supplement: A Pawsitively Pawesome Addition to Your Fur Baby’s Life! first appeared on Review Therapy.

Hey there, fellow pet pawrents! If you’re like me, you’re always on the lookout for ways to keep your furry companions healthy and happy. Recently, I decided to give Maev Raw Dog Food – Weight & Digestion Supplement Bars a try for my canine buddy, and I’m excited to share my review with you all!

Nourishing Goodness for My Pup

As a responsible dog owner, I’m always seeking out ways to provide my furry friend with the best possible nutrition. The Maev Raw Dog Food – Weight & Digestion Supplement Bars piqued my interest because they promise to support weight management and digestive health – two areas that are crucial for my dog’s overall well-being.

I must admit, I was a bit hesitant about introducing a new food product into my dog’s diet, but my pup’s enthusiastic response quickly put my worries to rest. The Maev bars come in various flavors, and I decided to go with the Turkey & Pumpkin variety. From the first sniff, my dog’s tail started wagging in anticipation, and the moment he tasted it, he was hooked. Seeing his excitement made me feel like a responsible pet parent providing a delicious treat that aligns with his nutritional needs.

Easy and Convenient

One of the best things about the Maev Raw Dog Food Bars is how convenient they are. They’re perfect for busy mornings, quick snacks, or even as a reward during training sessions. Plus, knowing that these bars are specially formulated to support weight and digestion gives me peace of mind that I’m doing right by my furry friend.

Addressing the Minus Point

Now, let’s tackle the elephant in the room – potential downsides. While my pup adored the Maev bars, I noticed that they’re a bit on the softer side. This could be an issue for larger dogs who prefer a more substantial chew. However, my dog’s smaller breed loved every bite without any issues!

Final Bark

As I wrap up my review of Maev Raw Dog Food – Weight & Digestion Supplement Bars, I’m happy to report that my dog’s tail wags with approval. I genuinely appreciate the thought and care that went into creating Maev Raw Dog Food – Weight & Digestion Supplement Bars. These bars offer a convenient and tasty way to nourish my furry friend with the added benefits of weight management and improved digestion.

If you’re seeking a wholesome and flavorful snack for your four-legged companion, for $39, Maev Raw Dog Food – Weight & Digestion Supplement Bars could be the next big hit in your pup’s menu.

The post My Furry Friend’s New Favorite: Maev Raw Dog Food – Weight & Digestion Supplement Bars first appeared on Review Therapy.

The high walls not only offer a sense of security but also provide a perfect spot for my pup to rest their head and enjoy a peaceful slumber. It’s truly a haven of comfort, ensuring that my furry friend experiences the utmost relaxation.

Exceptional Craftsmanship

From the sturdy construction to the meticulously stitched seams, every element speaks of durability and longevity. I am confident that this bed will withstand the test of time, remaining a luxurious centerpiece in my home for years to come.

Practicality Meets Style

Functionality is paramount when selecting pet furniture, and the Lords & Labradors High Wall Ivory Bouclé Bed exceeds expectations. The removable and machine-washable cover ensures easy maintenance, keeping the bed looking pristine. Additionally, the bed’s design allows it to seamlessly blend into any room, elevating the overall aesthetic without compromising on its purpose. It’s a practical and stylish addition that adds a touch of opulence to both my dog’s comfort and my home’s interior design.

Price Point

The bed’s elevated price point reflects the premium quality and luxurious materials used. However, the investment is worth every penny for those seeking to provide their furry friend with a lavish sleeping experience. Additionally, the bed’s size options may not cater to all breeds, so it’s crucial to consult the sizing guide to ensure the perfect fit. Nonetheless, the overall luxurious experience and chic aesthetics make these considerations minor in comparison.

My Final Thoughts
